Colgate
Y&R / Red Fuse Communications | Project Management Intern

Description: Red Fuse Communications is Young & Rubicam's sister agency who works on Colgate.  Red Fuse is based in New York City, NY and I did a 6 week internship in project management. 

 

Role: My role as a project manager was to organize internal projects and make sure everyone is on time with deadlines.  I used current industry approaches, including CORE, Colgate's project management site.  I also worked closely in Presto, another program where I had to estimate budgets on certain projects.  

 

Results: Red Fuse's campaigns helped strengthen Colgate Total's leadership in the multi-benefit toothpaste segment.  In addition, it helped drive awareness of the signs of gum disease and the connextion between healthy gums and a healthy mouth. 

Simply  Mac
Simply Mac | Account Manager

Description: Simply Mac was founded in 2006 and is committed to providing a quality Apple experience for customers in the intermountain west.  Simply Mac operates premier Apple Specialist retail locations in the Utah, Colorado, Wyoming & Idaho markets.

 

Role: My role as an account manager on this project is to lead about 5-6 teams on concepting and executing digital ads for UAP (web), mobile & pre-roll.  As the account manager, I had to be in contact with the client at all times and meet with them to finalize executions. 

 

Results: With these digital ads, viewers will notice them in new and existing markets.  There are currently 10 stores with 13 more stores opening at the end of December 2013. 

Missionhome.com

 

Missionhome.com- Deseret Book | Account Manager

Description: MIssionhome.com is a Latter-day Saint missionary website that focuses on each phase of missionary service- prepare, serve, and return. It has information about the 405 missions around the world, articles by LDS authors to help young men and women prepare for their missions, and even a place to order care packages for missionaries already serving.

 

Role: My role as an account manager led a team of 25 writers to create Missionhome.com as well as work with BYU's PR Bradley Lab to get this website ready before General Conference.

 

Results: There are over 88,000 currently-serving missionaries in the world with thousands of pre-missionaries getting ready to serve.  Those thousands of missionaries with their parents have seen this website to prepare them for their service. 

Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo | Account Manager

Description: This was a class project for my Account Management class.  The objective is to give enthusiasts the supercar of their dreams, a car with unique styling and design choices, to be driven on both road and track. Once, this was a dream. Now it is the Alfa Romeo 4C. 

 

Role:  My role as an account manager was to prepare and present the creative work to professors.  

 

Results: My team received 1st place while working with the 'Creative Concepts' class.

Glidden-AAF
Glidden- AAF Competition | Account Manager

Description: This was a nation-wide competition with universities vying to be the top student group in advertising. Glidden Paint was the client in 2013.

 

Role: My role as an account manager on this project was to compile secondary research for creation of the strategic brief, I created focus group questions, helped out with the ethnographies, and wrote the competitors page for the final book.  

 

Results: We placed 1st in our district and went on to compete in Nationals. 

UP Club

 

Unraveling Pornography | Account Manager

Description: UP Club is sponsored by BYU to promote awareness about pornography addiction.  People don't realize that it doesn't just affect the person involved, but it affects everyone around them.

 

Role: I had the chance to manage a team of creative directors to create a brand for this club to get them back on their feet.  

 

Results: We also compiled secondary research for the club which resulted in an increase of 78% attendance.
